Melbourne Recital Centre are releasing their 2022 program in four seasons, each with a new visual identity.
Each identity is aimed at evoking fresh curiosity of the evolving program.
The earthy textural landscapes symbolise the dry earth and warmth, the composition of the shapes symbolises tangential elements of music (compositions, movements, form, harmony, rhythm, expression) as well as acting like a constellation. The abstract shapes are an exploratory/visionary interpretation of these symbols in the imagination. Inspiration has also been taken from the architectural features of the Melbourne Recital Centre including the shapes on the front of the building and the texture on the walls of the Elisabeth Murdoch Hall.
The colours are a luminescent, contemporary expression of summer.
